TULSA (AP) - A furniture store owner died and another person was hurt
when a small plane crashed in Tulsa near a shopping mall.

Tulsa police said Harry Snow, 43, died when a small plane crashed on
takeoff about 4 p.m. at Harvey Young Airport, a private airstrip in
east Tulsa.

Snow, owner of Snow's Furniture, was flying with three other people to
Arkansas for a fishing trip, police Lt. Ray Nelson said.

Nelson said passenger Jim Grimes was being treated at a Tulsa hospital.
Pilot Mark Uhlman and passenger Freddy Johnson were not seriously hurt.

Nelson said the crash occurred about 4 p.m. in a field across the
street from Eastland Mall, one of the city's largest.

He said the Beechcraft Bonanza never gained altitude after takeoff.

Earline Rector said she was walking her dog in the field when she saw
the plane crash.
